Review: ROCCAT Pyra Wireless Gaming Mouse

Today is finally going to be the day I review my new mouse. So I have had about 1 months usage out of it and it has given me time to figure out the Pro's and Con's of it but overall I am very happy with it.

So this is it.
and again.
Now lets get on to the review.

The very first thing I noticed with this mouse is that it is quite small. This is so that it can be used by gamers on the go and it won't take up too much space in a bag or whatever you wish to carry it in. However you may not need a bag to carry it as ROCCAT supply a very nice almost spandex carrying pouch.

Due to its small build size this may be a problem for people with bigger hands, however I do class myself in that category of people who have bigger hands (Y'no what that means...Bigger gloves, what were you thinking? :)) and I have had no problems using this mouse whatsoever.

However small ROCCAT have crammed as much extra buttons onto this mouse as they could. The highlighted button on the second image is actually incorrect, as default the EASYSHIFT[+] button is on the left side of the mouse not the right as both sides are symmetrical.

You may be asking EASYSHIFT[+] what in gods name is that, well I'll tell you. As you can see in the image its says "Buttons x2" and that's literally what it does. It gives you twice as many buttons when you hold down this button. There are 6 programmable buttons (Left click, right click, scroller, press scroll left/right and button shown in image) to use on this mouse, therefore that's is a possible 12 buttons for you to use. The mouse comes with a program to set up the Macros for the mouse something I have not quite come to grasps with.

The wireless receiver which can be seen in image 1 is also very small which is useful as if you are using a laptop it will not still out much so you wont have to worry about breaking it by knocking into it.

So now for the final part the overall look of this mouse. I personally love the design, from the bevelled out ROCCAT text along the right side of the mouse to the blue LED down the middle. Its just a really good useful mouse with a great feel. It also has one secret feature on the underside, it has a slot in which you can push the wireless dongle into and it will lock into place.

Pro's: -Good Design
          -Good Features
          -Portable
          -No Installation Needed
-Blue Optic Sensor For More Accurate Movements
-Comes With Everything You Need To Get Started.

Con's: -Battery Life Could Be Better
-May Be Too Small For Larger Hands
-Can Lose Signal To Receiver Randomly (Rare)

So that's my review of the ROCCAT Pyra Wireless Gaming mouse. I hope this has helped you decide whether or not you wish to buy this mouse.
